There is no scientific evidence that cats understand computers. There is, however, overwhelming anecdotal evidence that they understand exactly when a human needs to use one.

This site collects observations from the border between domestic life and technical infrastructure: laptops used as beds, cables treated as toys, servers monitored more carefully than humans, and the mysterious ability of a cat to appear immediately after a production incident.

The central principle is simple: infrastructure should be boring, documentation should be useful, and cats should be allowed to sleep wherever they want.
